* Saturday, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. (and from 8 a.m. to noon on the fourth Saturday of every month May-September) collect and mix usable latex paint for service projects. * May 13, 9:30 a.m. to noon, assist the Lockport Township Park District prepare plots for the community garden. Volunteers should meet at the Fairmont Community Center, 525 Barry Avenue and bring their own gardening tools.

* June 3, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., ShareFest will host a “Love Thy Neighbor” Road Trip, at 3rd Avenue and Chicago Street, in Joliet, sponsored by Churches United For Christ. ShareFest needs 30 volunteers to give away free food, books, health care screenings, and more to families in need. Help also is needed for a cookout from 1 to 4 p.m. From now through September, ShareFest is accepting donations of these items for upcoming “Love Thy Neighbor” Road Trips, July 8 in Fairmont, Aug. 9 in Romeoville, and Sept. 16 in Joliet.
