The Chicago premiere of “Cry It Out” by Molly Smith Metzler will close out Northlight Theatre’s 43rd season, the company announced Tuesday.
The production is slated for May 10-June 17, 2018. “The Legend of Georgia McBride,” previously in the final slot, will now open the season, playing Sept. 14-October 22, 2017. Bruce Graham’s “Sanctions” will not appear in the season.
“Cry It Out,” a comedy about cooped-up new moms, was commissioned by Actors Theatre of Louisville and premiered at the Humana Festival of New American Plays in spring 2017. Jessica Fisch will direct the Northlight production.
All performances take place at the North Shore Center for the Performing Arts, 9501 Skokie Blvd., Skokie.
