Rob Elgas, WLS-Ch. 7 4 p.m. weekday news anchor, and his wife, former WMAQ-Ch. 5 executive producer Wendy Talarico-Elgas, in May sold their two-bedroom penthouse condominium unit in a vintage three-story greystone building in West Town for $342,500.
Elgas and his wife now live in Naperville, where they paid $483,500 in 2014 for a three-bedroom, 3,288-square-foot house. Elgas paid $324,000 in 2007 for his five-room, 1,200-square-foot penthouse condo in West Town, which is in a building that was gut rehabbed.
The Elgases listed the unit last year for $349,900. Features include a large front picture window with treetop views, an open layout, exposed brick and hardwood floors, an outdoor deck, and a kitchen with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and custom cabinetry.
“(Rob) went back and forth on what he was going to do, including perhaps keeping it as a second home, but he found the right buyers, and he’s happy and hopefully they’re happy,” listing agent Nunzio Castellano of @properties said.
