Gary Bhojwani, who is scheduled to become CEO of CNO Financial Group on Jan. 1, and his wife, Kelli, paid $4.15 million last month for a newly built 6,830-square-foot mansion with seven bedrooms in Lincoln Park.

Bhojwani currently is president of CNO Financial, which formerly was named Conseco and is headquartered in Carmel, Ind. However, CNO has a significant presence in Chicago, where its primary subsidiary, Bankers Life, has its headquarters.

Through a Delaware limited liability company, the Bhojwanis bought the mansion in late July from luxury homebuilder Middlefork. Features in the mansion include six full baths, three half-baths, five fireplaces, an elevator, a penthouse with a rooftop deck with skyline views, a kitchen with a butler’s pantry, a lower level with a rec room and a wet bar, and a master suite with a large walk-in closet.

The mansion first was listed more than a year ago for $4.5 million.

Laura Topp of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices KoenigRubloff Realty Group, who represented the Bhojwanis, declined to comment on the couple’s purchase.
