Los Angeles FC announced the acquisition of Argentine forward Rodrigo Pacheco from Lanus for the team’s inaugural season in 2018.

Pacheco, 21, will play the rest of the current season on loan to USL affiliate Oranage County SC.

“We are incredibly excited to announce the arrival of Rodrigo Pacheco to LAFC,” said LAFC General Manager and Executive Vice President of Soccer Operations John Thorrington. “Rodrigo is a striker with great potential and we look forward to closely monitoring his development with Orange County SC.”

Pacheco becomes the club’s second signing after acquiring Mexican international Carlos Vela as the team’s first designated player.
