President Donald Trump’s base is outraged by his recent deals with Democrats, and they fear the signature issue of his campaign, building the border wall with Mexico, is now in jeopardy.

Here is my thought about how these folks can get their wall built: They pay for it. These ardent Trump supporters have to be delusional if they still believe Mexico will pay for it. If they are so anxious, why don’t they simply crowd fund it? Based on the various build estimates I’ve seen and the approximate number of households who support Trump, I’d guess the cost is going to be only about $450 to $1,500 per supporter, not including the enormous cost of maintaining it.

If they expect people like me to chip in, that tells me they are “takers,” not “makers.” I suggest these wall fanatics put their money where their mouths are or that they move on and focus on some other unimportant — oops, important —issue, like who gets to use which restroom.
