Chicago police on Tuesday released video surveillance stills of two of three armed men suspected of breaking into a Bridgeport home and stealing a safe late last week.
The burglary took place about 10:15 p.m. Friday in the 700 block of West 26th Street, according to a police alert seeking the public’s help finding in the men.
The three men went up to the home’s front door and tried to get in, but weren’t able to, police said. They then got into through a window and removed a safe through the front door, according to police.
The three were described as Hispanic men 20 to 30 years old. The first, who was shown in two photos (top photos in police handout), had a medium build and a full beard, with multiple tattoos on his arms, including a circular tattoo design on his lower-right forearm and dark writing on his lower left forearm. He was wearing a Cubs baseball cap, a light hooded sweatshirt, a dark T-shirt and dark jeans. The second had a slender build, a full beard, wearing a black skull cap, light-colored hooded sweatshirt and light-colored sweatpants. The third, also shown in two photos, (bottom photos in police handout) had a heavy build and a full beard, with a dark tattoo on his right hand, similar circular tattoo that the first man has on his right forearm.
Anyone with information about the three men is asked to call Area Central detectives at 312-747-8227.
