A Metra Milwaukee District West train hit a pedestrian in suburban Hanover Park on Tuesday night, causing extensive delays for inbound and outbound trains, authorities said.
Train #2250 traveling to Chicago hit the pedestrian west of the Hanover Park station at East Devon Avenue and Ontarioville Road about 7:30 p.m., said Metra spokeswoman Katie Dahlstrom.
The circumstances of the crash or condition of the victim was not immediately know, Dahlstrom said.
The crash caused delays of more than 90 minutes.
