Man critical after struck by vehicle on the South Side

A man is in critical condition after he was hit by a vehicle in the South Side’s Burnside neighborhood early Wednesday morning, police said.

The man, whose age was not released, was hit while walking in the 900 block of East 95th Street around 4:50 a.m.

He was rushed to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn for treatment.

The driver of the vehicle, a 67-year-old woman, remained on scene, according to police.
