Valparaiso police are investigating the Wednesday afternoon robbery of a yogurt shop in which the suspect threatened an employee with a pipe, though no one was injured, according to a release.

Police responded at 3:15 p.m. Wednesday to Fro Play Yogurt, 605 McCord Road, for a reported robbery, according to a release from Sgt. Michael Grennes, public information officer with the Valparaiso Police Department.

Police said a male subject wearing a green hooded sweatshirt with a mask over his face entered the store and demanded cash. The subject approached the female employee while carrying a pipe and demanded the money.

After obtaining an undetermined amount of cash, he fled the store on foot eastbound. Police said no one was injured during the robbery.

Police described the subject as 5 feet 6 inches tall and approximately 140 pounds.
