Why does Indiana limit the sale of booze on Sunday? Is it because the churches supporters are hopeful you will stop by and get your wine from them? Maybe Illinois has lobbyists pushing to keep these laws in place? It certainly increases their sales. This antiquated law needs to be taken off the books.
Lake County Councilman Jamal Washington has been charged with his third domestic violence charge and has violated an order of protection three times. Why has this man not been removed from the Council?
Maybe half of those misguided souls that bash our president are sore losers from the last elections, but from what I read and hear,there are other reasons. Many just do not bother keeping themselves informed on the issues that face the country and how our president is trying to improve the quality of life for those of us willing to earn an honest living. That leads to the last group of citizens that milk a free ride off those of us that truly do earn an honest living.
It is heartening to see that waving a pistol at a campaign rally to show support for the Second Amendment, and riding a horse to vote, is not quite sufficient enough to win an election to the US Senate.
Without a doubt, the victory in Alabama, is a victory for justice and decent people everywhere. And despite every effort to prevent African Americans from voting, they stepped up and did their civic duty. And if it were not for the seven women brave enough to come forward with their charges of sexual assault, the racist, bigoted, Roy Moore would mist likely now be voted in office.
There has been so much talk about Trump’s ego. His “you hit me and I’ll hit back harder” indicates tremendous insecurity, a lack of internal resources — diplomacy, empathy, compassion, kindness or usable knowledge — which means he must always resort to swinging a hammer.
