I greatly appreciated your editorial “Can Bezos, Buffett and Dimon revolutionize American health care?” Our state and federal government legislators have proven time and time again that they are inept when it comes to problem-solving, innovation and accomplishing goals that the American public deem important (all too often polls don’t match the direction of our federal government).
As voters, we need to insist legislators are not paid until they produce results. A government shutdown should mean that everyone is not paid until there is a balanced multi-year budget. We need to demand legislators present a list of achievable goals and reasonable deadlines, so we can measure their accomplishments just like every other job in the country. And, most important, our legislators need to have the exact same health care as we all have, so that they can hope and dream with the rest of us that Warren Buffett, Jeff Bezos and Jamie Dimon create a more cost-effective and efficient system.
