Two drivers ran away after causing a high speed crash that involved nine vehicles Wednesday night in the Gage Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side, Chicago police said.

A woman driving a Chevrolet Sonic and a man driving a Hyundai were speeding west on 55th Street when the woman’s car crossed the median in the 3000 block around 11:05 p.m. and side-swiped the man’s car as well as a third car that was traveling east, police said.

The crash set off a chain reaction that caused damage to six parked cars, according to police.

No one was injured.
