Substitute teacher Aaron Williams-Banks took 14-year-old Tamara Reed’s cellphone right from her hands during class, held it for a moment, then handed it back to her

Reed was startled: Her teacher had sent a text to himself, leaving a record of his private number on her phone.

A few days later, curious and a little flattered, Reed sent him a simple text: “Hey.”

That launched a cascade of messages between the teacher and a student half his age. Soon he was texting her until late at night. His messages quickly slid from casual to flirty to obscene, records show.
