Waubonsee Community College will begin offering an associate’s degree program emphasizing business at the school’s Aurora campus.
The program, Guaranteed Pathway to Success, includes face-to-face classes two evenings a week and additional online coursework, college officials said in a statement. The courses are eight weeks long, and the face-to-face classes meet only at the school’s downtown Aurora campus.
The coursework covers all of the requirements for an associate in arts degree, as well as business courses required to enter many four-year schools’ business programs, college officials said.
Students in the program are guaranteed seats in the classes to be able to graduate in two years, and additional academic support is provided, according to college officials.
A session about the program will take place July 16 at 6:30 p.m. at the school’s Aurora campus on South River Street. Information about the program will be provided, and attendees will be entered into a drawing to win a $50 gift card to the Waubonsee bookstore, school officials said.
