It’s hard to believe there are two American League teams in baseball — the Baltimore Orioles and the Kansas City Royals — that are worse than the Chicago White Sox.

Too much time is being spent on the internet and Facebook. Anytime someone can be persuaded to vote for someone because of what they read online, they should ask themselves why this information was never printed in the newspaper or aired on television? The reason is some people believe what they want to believe. What ever happened to I need to do more research? They take the easy way out.

I wonder how well children are being taken care of in the holding facilities near the border. There are so many children being separated in pens. Are there sufficient bathroom facilities to accommodate all those children? How many people do we have making sure the children get to the bathroom when they need to? If they soil themselves, is there somewhere they can be cleaned up? Are clean clothes available? This is such a basic need. I assume adults are having similar problems but they can take care of themselves.

Is 175th street east of Oak Park Avenue ever going to be repaved? Do we have to wait until cars and tires get damaged? Other streets that aren’t in such bad shape are being redone and on 175th, nothing.
