If I was the general manager of the Chicago White Sox, I would never go after a player like Manny Machado to help the team. Why? He is someone seeking well over $300 million and does not seem to hustle enough. . . The Sox should be going after hard-nosed, gritty ballplayers who want the team to win . . .

Is climate change a reality? Researchers can skew their findings in numerous ways, by picking and choosing what facts they look at and then generalizing. But climate change is affecting our whole planet, not just one area. Don’t just look at what happened in one area for specific years but also investigate what happened around the world during those times, then correlate your findings to determine whether or not we should be sounding the alarm for climate change.

I encourage Mike, of Orland Park, to visit the temporary exhibit “Extreme Ice” at the Museum of Science and Industry. It is alarming to see the documentation of glacier melt. Of great concern is the potential for coastal flooding. Any doubt I had about the seriousness of climate change was removed after viewing this exhibit.
