Indiana’s Senator Mike Braun was asked for a comment on the whistleblower complaint. He played dumb as usual, and said that he didn’t have time to read the complaint or have a comment. Thanks for nothing.
It is high time those Republicans foaming at the mouth trying to justify the most corrupt President ever elected by the Russians in this country get checked for rabies.
The role of the whistleblower, including the person’s credibility and place in the government, is essential to understanding one of the most important issues facing the country — whether the president of the United States abused power and whether the White House covered it up.
Republicans have labeled Trump’s phone call to Ukraine a “nothingburger,” but weeks ago the White House considered it so toxic they buried it from public disclosure in a top secret file! Those who did it need to be grilled.
After the release of the Ukraine transcript, Trump allies freaked out. They realized things didn’t go according to plan. Now they wish they could take it all back. Supporters now worry that the transcript makes Trump look guilty. You think?
The rule of law is the only thing that keeps democracy alive. Lawlessness is the opposite of democracy. Trump and all the Republicans who support his lawlessness have become a cancer on American democracy. If we let this cancer spread, we will without doubt lose our democracy.
Trump’s raving about “the courts” stepping in to stop Democrats from pursuing an impeachment inquiry shows once again that Trump has absolutely no knowledge and no understanding of the Constitution he took an oath to protect and defend.
Fun fact: No innocent person has ever threatened the life of a whistleblower.
Trump is screaming that the whistleblower is a “spy” and “you know what we used to do in the old days when we were smart?” He can’t accept that he did something wrong and wants to blame the whistleblower for turning him in. Sure, he is the problem, not you, not ever.
Lindsay Graham has many opinions on just about everything. But if you don’t like the stance he is taking just wait a few days as he will certainly reverse it as he always has. He makes the word “Senator” a dirty word.
Trump supporters are exactly like Trump making statements that are so not true. Trump likes to take credit for laws and policy that was started before he became dictator to his followers.
Don’t forget, this is not a case of Democrats against Republicans, or really about the next political election. The President of the United States created this mess, we didn’t. He needs to be held accountable for what he has done. This is about the future of our democracy, or allowing the president to rule as a king.
Is it just me, or does anyone else take perverse satisfaction watching Trump and his co-conspirator Rudy Giuliani, turn themselves inside out over this whistleblower complaint?
White House staffers panicked when they realized how serious Trump’s conversations were. They also knew how much trouble those conversations could cause. They concealed the evidence of the crimes. They are just as guilty as the the guy who committed the original crimes.
