Diners will be able to sample the cuisines of many higher-end suburban restaurants at value-laden prices during Chicago Restaurant Week. Three-course dinners can be had at French, Italian, American, Greek, Mexican, Asian and other types of restaurants for $36 or $48, and multi-course lunches and brunches are priced at $24.

The package deal offers diners a better price than what the restaurants, which include many fine-dining spots and foodie favorites, normally charge. Chicago Tribune food critic Phil Vettel observed that while restaurants are trying to drum up business during a normally slow time of year for them, the week gives eager diners a chance to try new venues and cuisines.

Suburban restaurants include the following. You can see the entire list at www.eatitupchicago.com. It’s searchable by location and type of cuisine.
