Don’t vote for him
One thing that stands out during this horrible pandemic is that Trump is dangerously unqualified to be president and refuses to either admit or learn from his mistakes. He shamelessly uses daily White House updates about the pandemic as campaign rallies where his rudeness, unintelligent rants and downright false claims are on full display. I question anyone’s patriotism and love of this country who would vote for him for a second term. Please, for the safety and future of America, do not.
Keep up the good work
I am so annoyed with Gov. Pritzker. He has to “throw in” a nasty remark about the president’s management of the COVID crisis at every opportunity. All I can say is thank God this did not happen during the Obama-Biden tenure. We would have been bored to death with lengthy speeches that went in circles, and said nothing but empty platitudes. He would have sold us all out just as he and all his predecessors did in their dealings with China. Trump is doing an exemplary job during a dangerous situation, and has put into play all the resources available to him. Keep up the good work and this too shall pass.
Time for a drink
Park City, Waukegan, and Winthrop Harbor all said they’d license recreational cannabis. So why do I have to drive to Mundelein each week to buy pot? Not only is it a drive, but the store is always crowded with folks from Wisconsin. Almost makes you want to drink instead.
Total disgrace
So, the lamestream media has stopped broadcasting Trump’s daily press conferences on the coronavirus because they think that they are giving Trump a political advantage. Then they broadcast snippets of the broadcasts which distort or actually lie about what was actually said. This has never happened during a national crisis. These conferences need to be broadcast so that we can draw our own conclusions rather than listening to lies from the liberal media who are lap dogs for the Democrats. This is a total disgrace.
No wonder
It’s hard to believe the comments people are submitting to the Talk of the County in regards to the Trump administration in regards to the handling of the coronavirus. President Trump and his team are doing a daily brief with updates and new information. Funny thing is when you put on the local TV channels, they stop showing the briefings as soon as President Trump comes to the podium to speak. This in itself is shameful. I suggest to some of these writers, if they feel that they could do a better job perhaps they should be in charge. If these people have any beefs, they should have it with Pelosi, Schumer and career politicians who outsourced almost everything this country used to do. No wonder there are shortages of equipment, masks and medicine.
Not essential
Absolutely amazed upon reading Charles Selle’s article in the News-Sun recently. How does the state consider a liquor store to be an essential service?
Get a life
Stop the bashing and name-calling of our — yes our — two political parties. That’s what our country is all about. Two parties. We’re in a crisis right now. Give ideas, suggestions or solutions instead. And, the whole world is in crisi. Not one country is spared. Live what little life you have left. Scrub the floors, clean your car, take a hike. Get a life.
Stop the presses
To all the digital news outlets: Stop with the numerous daily stories about Meghan Markle and Harry. It’s been going on for years. Who really cares where they live, or who thinks what in their royal or American families? Use the space for real, newsworthy articles.
Good job
Gov. Pritzker is doing a good job in these hard times. He has really stepped up with decisive measures to slow down the coronavirus, which gives Illinois a little more time to get prepared for all the infected people who are about to flood our hospitals.
Waste money
Just think what could have been accomplished with all the money that has been wasted by all the Democrats in their failed impeachment attempt of President Trump, and their phony ads concerning the upcoming presidential election. Where is Michael Bloomberg? Haven’t heard a word from him since his failed presidential campaign. Just think if Hillary or Biden we’re president now. OMG.
Thank you
To the president and your team, thank you. You get it. Yes, it launched slowly, but social distancing is working.
