It’s rather odd that the faithful Fox News watchers won’t listen to the medical experts, but they are willing to listen to Dr. Oz, Dr. Phil, Dr. Hannity, Dr. Ingraham, and Dr. Carlson.  And they wonder why people think they are a bunch of loons.

The Trump administration awarded a $55 million contract to Panthera Worldwide, a company with no expertise in medical equipment, to provide N95 masks. Panthers filed for bankruptcy last year, and it has no employees, and it is no longer listed as an LLC in Virginia. FEMA is paying them $5.50 per mask when it usually pays companies like 3M $0.63 per mask. Panthera describes itself as a tactical training company for the military and other government agencies but has no record of producing medical supplies or equipment.

I know that I am showing my age, but elected officials used to have character, and honor and try to do the best for their citizens back home. Granted, there have always been corrupt politicians, but they weren’t blatant about their behavior.

Questioning the many deaths occurring in our nursing homes due to the coronavirus? The answer may be in the name: nursing home/a home of nursing by nurses, not doctors … on any given day, there may not even be a doctor in the house. Nurses are doing the best they can with what little they are provided. Patients may transfer often between home, hospitals and nursing homes. Today, when testing and PPEs are so vital and so limited, nursing homes —populated by mostly elderly — are historically too low on the list of most important recipients — and especially according to this administration.

The “Dr.” in front of Dr. Oz and Dr. Phil should be removed as they both proved they done’t deserve to be called doctors after their recent comments on Faux News.

Russians don’t need to do anything to influence our November elections by distributing misinformation and ginning up fake controversies. Republicans and conservatives in Michigan, Ohio, Wisconsin, and elsewhere are doing it for them. All they need do is sit back and laugh at our stupidity.

Trump has blamed Obama, governors, China, the media, General Motors, and hospitals for his poor response to the COVID-19 outbreak. The guy in charge is ultimately responsible. The blame game reinforces we have put the wrong guy in charge in times of national emergency.  Thanks for nothing!

The new White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany has declared “Under President Donald Trump’s leadership we have quickly developed the most expansive and accurate testing system in the world.” Except, there is no such testing system in the United States. There is no national testing system, only a patchwork of programs administered by states with limited federal guidance.

So now that Trump has a plan in place, and pushed off the responsibility to this states, he is good to resume his golfing right?

The president’s virus briefing is the high point of every day I don’t care if he uses a teleprompter to report the facts. His voice is so soothing. I keep notes of the key facts  he reports to use as a reference to the other news reports. When he goes to the reporter questions, I turn it off-too much politics and no facts. The man is a saint!

President Trump is now trapped, and there is no easy way out for him. He is unsuited to deal with this crisis, intellectually, temperamentally, and simply, just can’t be bothered.
