What’s with all these protests to open up the economy with 99% white men and women waving automatic weapons and Confederate flags? Is this their attempt to overthrow the state governments at Trump’s direction? If so, the states need to activate their National Guard units to take these terrorists into custody before they start shooting decent citizens.

Now that America’s coronavirus death figure is headed toward 50,000 and well beyond, does Fox news and the far right still believe the mainstream networks are only alarmist purveyors of liberal political hype and fake news?

The problem with social distancing is that people are ignoring it. They are standing in groups by the red marks but still together and not by themselves. Why are adults taking young children out with them with the virus which has no cure?

Has it become clear to anyone else that our country deems World Wrestling Federation essential, and bookstores and libraries are not?

Looks like Georgia Governor Brian Kemp is going to try and finish the job started by General William Tecumseh Sherman. We’ll see how much those stars and bars rebels like their small government when half their population is infected and they’re 50,000 ventilators short.

Not only is it ridiculous that our president disparages Democratic governors, but he is spouting complete lies about the medical supplies they desperately need. How is it possible that his approval rating is still 46%? We’re living a nightmare with Trump in charge.

I think it’d be best if Post-Tribune gets rid of the Quickly column. It does nothing but add fuel to a fire for both sides of the political spectrum. It’s getting tiresome.

President Trump has been a total failure in crisis management. He first denied the crisis, parroting right wing political spin. He routinely bumbles press briefings, overpromises, propagandizes, praises himself ad nauseum. He deflects blame to China, governors, mayors, never himself. He defunded the World Health Organization, talked safety protocol one day, undercut it the next. More than 40,000 have already died without family at their sides. Trump still has no overarching battle strategy. He’s adrift at sea.

Any advisor working for Trump must agree with everything he says or Trump will fire that person. Trump does not take any advice from anyone including Doctors and Scientists who know a lot more than Trump and his gut reactions.

To the person envious of Nancy Pelosi’s refrigerator what do you think the Trump’s have? An old Norge Refrigerator with generic Walmart ice cream inside? Guess it’s different when Republicans are envious of material possessions.

President Trump is so far past you Trump haters’ capacity, it’s down right scary. You’re still stuck on the Russian hoax, with your head buried up your slow minded selves. Really sad! Keep us posted if you figure out where to get tested while you fear monger and stay closed up in your weak minded home with your weak minded offspring.

Donald Trump doesn’t want you to know this: Five years ago President Obama alerted the U.S. Congress to an “inevitable” future pandemic: “We need to put into place an infrastructure,” he said, “that allows us to see it quickly, isolate it quickly and treat it quickly. This can’t get caught up in normal politics, so let’s get it done and show the world how to lead.” The agency that began to work on this was defunded by President Trump.

The end of Trump’s presidency is starting to look a lot like the end of Reagan’s presidency, with everyone ignoring the obvious signs of mental decline and possible dementia. I wish there were more comparisons to be made between the two but one was real and one was pretending.
