Masked men armed with assault weapons in the Statehouse in Michigan? Does anyone see the danger here? My 97-year-old grandmother said she remembers seeing this as a child in Nazi Germany. This shouldn’t be allowed anywhere in America. I don’t want to hear any of that Second Amendment bull either. We are not an armed totalitarian dictatorship. At least not until Trump gets a second term.

I must applaud Michigan’s Governor Whitmer for standing firm in the face of the bullying Republican’s efforts to lift virus restrictions. The recent spectacle at the House of Representatives shows the mindset of today’s Republicans. screaming in the face of the security staff, brandishing guns. This is a prime example of Republican tactics — when you can’t present your argument in a civil, intelligent manner, resort to bullying, intimidation, and be sure to carry your AR-15 and Trump 2020 signs for added effect. No doubt many in the angry mob were professional protestors, recruited by Trump’s re-election committee, or other fanatical Trump backers.

You don’t think Trump ignored virus? He was told in daily briefings 12 times in January and February it was coming and did nothing. He could have done much more to prepare but your euphoria makes you blind to what is obvious.

Yes, Jared, a “great success story,” only 60,000 Americans dead — so far. I’m sure the families and friends of these people don’t consider that your father-in-law’s miserable performance as president has been a great success.

Images of what’s happening along the Lake Michigan shoreline are awful. But remember, just exactly a year ago, the Trump administration had proposed a 90% cut in funding for Lake Michigan shoreline protection and restoration.  Trump only backed off of that massacre and restored funding when GOP politicians in states bordering the lake raised holy you-know-what. Then Trump was all “I love Lake Michigan!” Even with all that love, funding for specific projects has still been hard to come by.

Just imagine if we were in a “hot” war with someone. Would our self-described “war time president,” Donald Trump, have declared that it’s up to the 50 individual states to arm themselves and figure out a strategy for how they’re going to confront the enemy or repel invaders? Of course not. That would be absurd. It’s just common sense to think that we’d prepare and respond as a nation, not as 50 individual entities. So what happened in this “war”? Our commander-in-chief was AWOL, busily tweeting about his “enemies,” bragging about his alleged leadership, and campaigning for reelection.

What do you think would have happened if a large group of black or Latino gang members stormed the Michigan Capitol with AK-15’s? How many of them do you think would be alive to talk about it?

Donald Trump has finally accomplished something with his incompetence. He has made me a prisoner in my own home.

While Trump and his administration keep minimizing this virus, they have ordered 100,000 body bags and opened bidding for 200 rented refrigeration trailers to keep these dead bodies. Doesn’t sound like things are winding down.

Dr. Brian Monaghan, the Capitol physician, said that there is not sufficient capacity to test the senators for coronavirus. Tests will only be available for staffers and senators who are ill, but not enough for all 100 senators as they come back to session. But Trump claims there are plenty of tests for EVERYONE.

If you’re a Trump supporter in Quickly, you have to follow the rules. When the anti-Trump crowd wants you to answer their question, you better do what they say. But if you ask them a question, then they turn it around and dodge the question with a witty bait and switch like you’re not smart enough to figure that one out. They must of learn that from sleepy Joe Biden or any other life-long lying Democrat.
