Mary-Kate Olsen made headlines last week when she filed for divorce from her husband of 41/2 years, French banker Olivier Sarkozy. Currently, the split isn’t moving forward in court because of a halt on nonessential procedures during the coronavirus pandemic, but in the meantime, details have trickled out about the disagreements between the couple that led to their end.

According to People, the 33-year-old Olsen and 50-year-old Sarkozy had conflicts on several subjects, with the most important of them being whether or not to have kids. Sarkozy has two adult children from a previous marriage, but Olsen reportedly wanted some of her own.

“A few years ago, having a baby was not a priority for her. This has changed,” People’s unnamed source said.

In addition, the magazine reports that the two had divergent lifestyles. Sarkozy likes to party, while Olsen is more of an introvert.

“She’s not that interested in socializing — she likes small gatherings with select people,” a source in the fashion industry told People. “They ended up being apart quite a bit.”
