Threat to our democracy
The very real threat to our democracy comes from Republicans and Donald Trump. From refusing to accept a peaceful transfer of power if they lose, to multiple forms of voter suppression, to untrue claims that write-in ballots cannot be trusted, to asking foreign governments to help them politically, to actually installing fake and illegal ballot boxes, they are doing everything they can to undermine the rights of American citizens to vote in fair elections. Don’t let them steal our nation from us. Everyone needs to get out and vote in this election. We the people have to pick our politicians, and not let our politicians pick who they allow to vote.
Stunning, not surprising
It still hasn’t sunk in to Mike Pence, or Donald Trump, that Americans pay the tariffs that Trump imposed on China. People have grown tired of being lied to. How stupid do they think the American public is? Their failure to admit wrongdoing in penalizing Americans with higher costs on goods comes at a time when this country can least afford it. The lack of basic intellect on how a tariff works is stunning, yet not surprising.
No free rides
Doesn’t the word illegal mean just that, illegal. And, if that’s true, why is Illinois going to give them free health care? Is that crazy or not? And, who is going to pay for all the care they receive? You bet, the rest of us honest, paying taxpayers. We need to get rid of those politicians voting for such idiot giveaway programs that make the rest of us suffer.
Dangerous lunatics
Of all the lies Trump has told, the one he recently told about not knowing about QAnon may be the most blatant. The truth is, the president is the most informed person on the planet. Of course he knows. He just doesn’t want to lose any potential voters, even if they are dangerous lunatics.
Stand up
As George Clooney said in the movie “Monuments Men,” “If you destroy a people’s achievements, their history, it’s like they never even existed. It’s just ash floating.” That is what the socialists want. So, these who want to take down our statues are no better than Hitler and all the other National Socialists (Nazis). We can’t let this happen. Appeasement never works. We must stand up in defense of our nation and culture.
Not getting her way
The childlike Nancy Pelosi will not consider — or even negotiate — for any additional stimulus funding to help the unemployed and the hungry because she is not getting her way. And because of political reasons. The pay for all elected officials should also be stopped while so many are suffering and hungry because of COVID-19. That should make Pelosi consider signing off on the additional funding.
