Burr Ridge
Alcohol
Carlo Buonavolanto, 32, of the 6700 block of Fieldstone Drive, Burr Ridge, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane use on the block where he lives at about 2:30 a.m. Oct. 9.
Battery
Osama M. Barakat, 41, of the 8100 block of Lake Ridge Drive, Burr Ridge, was charged with domestic battery at 3:20 p.m. Oct. 17.
Fraud
A business on McClintock Drive reported Oct. 16 someone had forged and cash uauthorized checks.
A resident reported Oct. 9 he was conned out of $400 after he placed an ad to sell an item on Craigs List.
A business on South Frontage Road reported Oct. 8 the payee name and address on four of its checks, totaling $12,043, had been altered
Two residents and a person who is employed in Burr Ridge reported separately Oct. 16 that someone had filed fraudulent unemployment claims in their name.
Theft
Someone let the air out of two exterior tires on the rear axle of a truck parked on the 300 block of South Frontage Road, and then was able to peel the tires off the rims between 5 p.m. Oct. 15 and 8 a.m. Oct. 16.
Darien
Alcohol
Marissa Hargrove, 38, of the 7400 block of Tennessee Avenue, Willowbrook, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving an uninsured vehicle, illegal transportation of alcohol and disobeying a traffic control signal at about 5 p.m. Oct. 14 after an officer responded to an accident at Plainfield and High roads.
Jerome Robinson, 41, of the 800 block of Francisco Avenue, Chicago, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and parking in a no parking zone on westbound 67th Street west of Route 83 at 4:35 a.m. Oct. 17.
A driver reported their car was struck from behind by a Hyundai Elantra, while they were stopped at the intersection of Manning Road at Fairview Avenue at about 11:15 p.m. Oct. 16.. The victim chased the vehicle until near Woodward Avenue in Woodridge.
Theft
A resident of the 1400 block of 77th Street reported at 7 a.m. Oct. 14 someone took a flag from the yard and damaged the flagpole. The loss was estimated at $100.
An American flag, valued at $10, was reported stolen from a pole attached to a garage on the 800 block of 71st Street between 6 p.m. Oct. 14 and 3 p.m. Oct. 15.
