A man was shot on the East Side of Aurora Tuesday evening, Aurora police said.
Just before 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, police received reports of shots fired near the 1000 block of Second Avenue in Aurora, according to a press release from the Aurora Police Department.
When officers arrived on the scene they found a man in the driver’s seat of a vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds, according to the release.
Aurora Fire Department paramedics arrived on the scene and transported the man to an Aurora area hospital, where the man was listed in critical condition early Wednesday, officials said.
Officers and detectives conducted a canvass of the neighborhood to collect information from neighbors to assist with the investigation, police said.
