Thank you to the kind, honest stranger who found my daughter’s wallet, which has been missing since the fall, by Portage Car Wash and took the time to return it to Hobart High School, money and gift cards still inside. I hope someone does something kind for you someday! No good deed goes unnoticed!

Thank you, Judge Kennelly, for dismissing the trivial dismissal motions of former Portage mayor James “Trump” Snyder. So tired of seeing these politicians manipulate the system and weasel out of the punishment deserved! Please consider, when sentencing after the upcoming conviction, the amount of time, effort, and taxpayer resources that this man has so arrogantly wasted by not owning up to his crimes. Is that what he learned at Christian college? And while you’re at it…since they went after Conner Kerner’s mom for obstruction of justice…maybe you should also consider charging that streets and sanitation buffoon he hired who in his trial testified that the bids were kept in the former mayor’s office, but then backtracked under oath on the stand and said that the former mayor knew nothing about it. I’m curious as to why Sue Lynch kept him around…is she going to need a “yes” man too eventually?

Not a single Indiana Republican House member voted to strip Marjorie Taylor Greene of her committee assignments. Did anybody think they would demonstrate the least bit of courage or honor or principle? They don’t have a clue anymore about how to behave as morally responsible citizens, let alone as persons entrusted with governing our society.

When someone shorts a stock I own, they borrow my shares and sell them in hopes the price will go down. They are using my shares to drive the price of a stock I invested in down. Do I feel sorry for the hedge funds who got caught in a short squeeze with game stop and lost millions? Not even the slightest. You reap what you sow. They have been screwing the average investor for years, now their day has come.

Now would be a good time to start mailing pictures of chickens to Mar-a-Lago. Just saying.

For the past four years, Republicans have refused to hold Donald Trump responsible for any of his disgusting and irresponsible behavior. In fact, they cheered him and egged him on to ever more and more excess. Now they’re doing the same thing with that Greene (“Q is a patriot”) person, someone who far from being elected should have been laughed at and ridiculed. But instead of finding her shameful, congressional Republicans gave her a standing ovation in the very hall of Congress where rioters she had encouraged threatened their very lives just a few weeks ago. If you still consider yourself a Republican, I’m not going to say I feel sorry for you, because you are beyond redemption. But I sure feel sorry for our country.

I went through downtown Hobart today and counted a half dozen vacant storefronts and boarded-up businesses within a one block radius of 3rd and Main, but by all means let’s focus all our energy on the faceless chain companies along 30 that all pay minimum wage while locally owned and operated businesses drop like flies. People of Hobart, I hope you remember this next time local officials are up for election. Hold your elected officials accountable, and remember: the fish rots from the head.

We can improve our divisive politics by moving back to ‘Usuallyville!’ When there are serious problems within a party ‘usually’ Democrats and Republicans deal with their own. Steve King (R-Iowa) lost his post in 2019 based upon some extremist statements. The sanctions were handled within the party. Apparently, as media columnist Lynn Sweet said, “We’re not living in ‘Usuallyville’ anymore!” For politics sakes, can we move back?

Newsflash: Georgia Representative Greene has just confirmed that 9/11 was real circa February 2021.

How do I call in a welfare check on a Quickly writer? I ask because the person who posits that the insurrection at the Capitol on January 6th was the fault of Democrats, and not the responsibility of the lying orange moron who invited them to Washington, gathered them together, whipped them into a frenzy, and told them to “fight like hell” is clearly unwell and may be in need of help.

The request for Trump to testify at his impeachment trial is not a “publicity stunt”. He won’t show up to defend himself or his actions on January 6th because what he said and the ensuing result is indefensible. He swore an oath to our country and he instead attacked it with his lies and his mob. He should be convicted and ashamed, but he has never been ashamed.
