Wolves need protection: Anybody that can get a hold of the Capitol in Washington, tell them to put the wolf back on the protected species list again. There’s no reason to kill such a beautiful animal and they should be protected.
Place your bets now: With the snow finally disappearing and the fear of the killer virus slowly lifting, we must now come face-to-face with the greatest threat by far to our peace of mind. It is, of course, will the Cubs be a factor once again in this year’s National League playoff picture or is a total collapse more likely due to the exodus of several popular (and highly paid) players?
No shot? Blame Trump: Just remember, if President Trump took this COVID-19 virus seriously we all wouldn’t be trying to get shots now. And did you see he and his wife got their shots back in January before he left the White House?
C’mon, guys, play fair: “Play ball!”… a refrain once reserved for this country’s national pastime is now a desperate plea from the American people for bipartisan legislation. Who says nothing ever changes?
Cuomo getting easier treatment? I have a question about Gov. Cuomo from New York. He’s not getting the same treatment that Brett Kavanaugh did when running for the Supreme Court. Even Kamala Harris, during the debates against Joe Biden, tried throwing him under the bus when it came to sexual harassment. Are they softening up because they have the lead now?
Vaccinations not magic pill: Not sure why you print ridiculous comments about building a wall around Texas and Mississippi because these states want to responsibly open their economies and eliminate the mask mandate. Businesses may still require masks, but it is up to them. How does Biden think it will be over in a few months? Didn’t he hear Dr. Fauci say that just because everyone is vaccinated doesn’t mean everything will be OK?
Inmates before seniors: It’s good to know that if you’re a law-abiding, taxpaying citizen in Illinois under the age of 65, the prisoners in the Illinois Department of Corrections will be getting vaccinated before you. I guess crime does pay!
Welcome change: This could be great news for Illinois. U.S. Rep. Robin Kelly is now Illinois Democratic chair. She replaces Madigan and Cullerton’s former stranglehold on our state. Is the Madigan machine done? AFL-CIO are nervous. If Kelly is willing to work across the aisle, compromise would be beneficial to all of us, for a change.
Dangerous back road drivers: I want to know, where are all the police? I drive drive the back roads in Will County and I do not see police anywhere. All these police departments are whining and crying they don’t have any money, but there’s a lot of speeders out here. Speed limit is 55, I’m doing 60 and I’m getting passed like I’m standing still. Somebody needs to get out here and start policing these people.
