Citations were pending against the driver of a Jeep that hit a motorcycle, killing its 32-year-old driver Friday night in the Fulton River District neighborhood, police said Saturday.
About 9 p.m., the 32-year-old was riding his motorcycle east in the 900 block of West Grand Avenue when a Jeep heading west ran him over, Chicago police said.
The 38-year-old male driver of the Jeep was trying to turn left and go south on North Morgan Street when the crash occurred, police said.
The 32-year-old motorcyclist suffered head trauma and was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His name was not yet released by the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Citations are pending against the 38-year-old Jeep driver, police said.
