A 27-year-old South Loop man is accused in the fatal shooting of another 27-year-old man in the Bridgeport neighborhood earlier this month, Chicago police said.
Jabari Johnson, of the 2100 block of South Michigan Avenue, was charged with murder for the deadly shooting of a man his same age in the 600 block of West 31st Street in the Bridgeport neighborhood on May 7, police said.
The still-unidentified man was pronounced dead Thursday at 4:34 p.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
After Johnson was identified as the alleged shooter, he was arrested Thursday at O’Hare International Airport, by Chicago police and the Great Lakes Fugitive Task Force.
Details from Johnson’s Saturday bond hearing were not immediately available and he is due back in court on Tuesday.
