Vince Neil, the voice of the band Mötley Crüe, will perform Saturday, Aug. 28, during VetFest in Oswego.
VetFest, featuring four nights of bands, will be held Aug. 26 to 29 at the newly built Oswego Entertainment Venue at 1010 Station Drive in the village.
Neil will perform hits such as “Wild Side,” “Girls Girls Girls,” “Dr. Feelgood,” “Home Sweet Home,” and many more at the show, event organizers said.

“It’s an honor to play an event like this for such a good cause,” Neil said in a press release from event organizers. “I have several family members who served in the military including my father so a show like this is near and dear to my heart. My band and I are looking forward to performing a fun, energetic and exciting show performing all the hits.”
Twin brother rock duo Nelson will open for Neil.
“Matt and I are absolutely thrilled to be playing VetFest this year,” Gunnar Nelson said in the release. “On top of the thrill of sharing the bill with our great friends Vince and his bandmates, for the past hundred-plus years the Nelson family has always loved and supported our great veterans.”
Vince Neil and Nelson join the groups already announced to perform at the four-day festival, which begins on Thursday, Aug. 26, with The Man in Black – A Johnny Cash Tribute starring Shawn Barker. Country duo LoCash headlines Friday, Aug. 27, Nelson and Vince Neil perform on Saturday, Aug. 28, and 7th Heaven will perform on Sunday, Aug 29.
The event will also feature food, drinks and a carnival. A portion of the proceeds from the festival will be donated to local charities that benefit veterans and support the Oswego 308 School District, organizers said.
VetFest is slated to be the first major show at the new venue in Oswego, where a number of community events are planned throughout late summer and early fall.
General admission tickets for single-night shows at VetFest start at $10. Four-day passes are $75 and are on sale at www.vetfest141.org. Concert gates will open at 5 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 4 p.m. on Sunday for the event. The all-ages carnival will open at 5 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, and 1 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday during VetFest.
