Who’s he kidding?
Finally, Cuomo has resigned. Someone must have threatened him with taking away his pension if he didn’t. Weeks ago he was vowing not to step down and then, nonchalantly, he said he didn’t want to get in the way of his state of New York. Yeah, who’s he kidding?
Trust me
About the vaccines, you know the more people don’t get a vaccine, the more they will die. Do you know who will get the vaccine after those people die? Their immediate survivors, the ones that are left. Trust me, they will get the vaccine.
Don’t try to tell me
If you want to wear a mask, wear it. Don’t try to put it on me. Some people let their kids do skateboards without a helmet or elbow pads, or their parents make them wear a helmet and elbow pads. If you need a mask, you wear one. Don’t try to tell me what I got to do.
Free will?
People are becoming more and more dumb, or more and more daring. There are more people parking in areas that say no parking, especially in front of businesses that are fire-lane zones. They’re determined to park there and when I go and report it, they tell me that it’s considered private property and police officers refuse to issue tickets. Well, then why do you bother putting in a sign that says “No Parking Fire Lane?” If there is an agreement, and it’s against the law to do that, then why bother? Issue a ticket, or don’t bother to put a sign up and let people park wherever they want. Why do we need police officers then? I don’t know, but that is my question to police officers out there. Can someone please respond? Or is this the new age now — people can do whatever they want to, it’s free will.
Just be nice
Whatever happened to just respecting people. Respect your neighbors. Respect authority. Just respect people with kind words, kind gestures. Everybody is just so nasty and mean. It’s a lot easier I guess than to just be nice.
New name?
I have a suggestion. It’s for a name change of the column “Talk of the County.” As I read it each day, I sadly realize that a more appropriate name would be “Talk of the Uneducated and Misinformed.”
