People turned to nannies last year when day cares closed, elderly parents became a vulnerable option and au pairs had immigration issues. Now, 18 months later, demand continues to be high amid a nanny shortage. Since the pandemic began, Albert Riley Graupmann, a Lakeview dad of two has had four nannies, two nanny shares and so many transitions that his toddler son stopped wanting to meet the new nanny.
