Every. Single. Case.
I’m a resident of a Lake County retirement community. We have experienced about a dozen COVID positive infections in our nearly 100% vaccinated community. Our staff has done an excellent job of contact tracing to discover how these infections entered the community. Every single case has been traced to an unvaccinated visiting family member. Every. Single. Case. Get vaccinated before you kill someone.
Why not wait?
There are around a million abortions in the United States last year. Women, have you ever heard of birth control pills? Why not wait until you are married to have what they call sex? Abortions are murder of a human life, no matter how you say it. I find it hard to believe that many rapes happen all the time. I believe the word rape is a big excuse for your intimate relationship that went wrong.
Do a little research
As of Oct 1, there had been at least 696,000 American deaths from COVID-19. That’s almost 50,000 more deaths just since Sept 4, when the total U.S. deaths was 647,000. Yes, that is a shocking increase in deaths. Do a little research, people. The seriousness of this virus is real.
Erase it
I received a very official-looking text from the DMV with a questionnaire about a waiver validation for testing, due to COVID. Except it’s not from the DMV. When the questionnaire asked my Social Security number, I smelled a rat and went in person to the DMV in Waukegan. A very helpful employee at the door told me, “Erase it. The DMV communicates only by U.S. mail. No texts. No emails. Ever. Erase it.”
Stop making excuses
I get so tired of people calling alcoholism and drug addiction diseases. It’s not a disease. It’s a choice a person took knowing darn well that it could become addictive. Cancer is a disease. Heart failure is a disease, ALS is a disease. Glaucoma is a disease. Not your choice to drink or do drugs. That’s a choice that became an addiction, period. Stop making excuses for these people and enabling them. Good grief.
Enormous pain and trauma
So often we hear about shooting victims whose injuries “are not believed to be life-threatening,” a phrase which to my way of thinking trivializes the enormous pain and trauma which any gun injury causes. Would the reporter find that phrase satisfactory if it was his or her spouse that was shot, or their child? After these initial news reports, the victim is usually quickly forgotten, though their pain and suffering, both physical and emotional, will very likely plague them for the rest of their lives.
Going to add to that number?
The U.S.A.’s virus deaths number is about 700,000 to date. Waukegan’s population is about 100,000. So that’s 7 of every 10 Waukeganites being wiped out. Are you, your loved ones or kids going to add to that number?
