Stop using those two words
I feel that it is not necessary to continually use the adjectives Black and white. Does it really matter, when someone is killed by a cop, what color they are? Black or white, both are humans. When our president has to say “I’ll pick the best Black woman for the job,” he is causing a problem. Just pick the best person for the job, be it man or woman, Black or white. We all need to get along and stop using those two words.
Why are you even supporting this?
The paper had an article celebrating Transgender Day. Really? Is this something to celebrate? A 6-year-old, really? And a 15-year-old activist? What is happening here? Is this a topic that should be part of community celebration? We are losing our identity as Americans and people. These actions, beliefs and putting them on our children is just wrong. Why are you even supporting this?
All the damage they did
I’m really getting annoyed about the PSA’s stating, “If you’re on the fence about getting the vaccine, just get it.” I’m not on the fence. I’m pretty sure, with everything I’m reading, and what has recently come to light, I won’t be getting it either. But, I do find it interesting Fauci and lawmakers are preparing us for another round of variants which, if the timing is right, will surface about the time of the elections, causing a huge push for mail-in ballots again. If we keep listening to them, with all of the damage they did to us the last time, we won’t even be able to afford to put up a fence.
A country of immigrants
Who do you think Americans are? Only those born here? That may make you a citizen automatically, but unless you are of Native American heritage, your ancestors came from another country. Are you part Irish? German? Italian? Polish? African? We are a country of immigrants, and this is what makes us a great nation. Love thy neighbor because we are one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. So we pledge.
Song and dance
I’m outraged at what the Forest Preserve has done to the Greenbelt Preserve. Drive south on Green Bay Road toward North Chicago, and check out the devastation. All the logs you see are the beautiful big trees they cut down. I called to complain, and was given a song and dance about wanting to get rid of the buckthorn. Controlled burns are necessary, but not the destruction of all those trees. FYI, they breath out what we breath in. Disgraceful.

I’m calling in regards to the individual in Round Lake who encountered the two young men who stole his car, and he ultimately ended up killing one and wounding another. They stole his car. He found them driving his car. He killed one and wounded another. End of story.
