A power outage temporarily closed the Lake County Government Center Thursday.

The closure affected all other offices housed at the Crown Point complex, 2293 N. Main St., including the county clerk and all civil and criminal courts.

Lake County Commissioner Dan Repay and Judge Marissa McDermott decided to close the offices, while “essential staff and employees” working elsewhere would be unaffected, Repay said in a statement.
