North Suburban YMCA’s Community Gallery is showcasing local artist Tanya Klatt throughout July.

All paintings and photographs are for sale with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the Y’s Visual Arts Program, according to a news release.

Artist Tanya Klatt studied graphic design and art at Eastern Michigan University and currently teaches art for preschool students at the Glenview Park District and K-8 students at the Sacred Heart School in Winnetka, the release said. Her art has been juried in shows and art festivals in Japan, Detroit, and the Chicago area.

Klatt’s latest creations combine digital photography, mixed media, printmaking, and materials reclaimed from recycle bins, according to the release.

The NSYMCA’s Community Gallery celebrates the diversely talented artists living and working in Chicago’s northern suburbs with monthly exhibits that are free and open to the public.
