A Warren Township man has been charged after a police search of his home turned up numerous child pornography videos, the Lake County sheriff’s office said Monday.
Police said Anthony V. Cloe, 26, was charged after the Thursday search at his residence in the 16000 block of Jonathan Drive.
In March, the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, a national network of state and federal law enforcement agencies, alerted the sheriff’s office that someone was downloading child pornography at the residence, the sheriff’s office said.
Last week, authorities executed a search warrant there and said they confiscated electronic devices belonging to Cloe that contained illicit videos.
Cloe was arrested and charged with three counts of possession of child pornography. He posted $25,000 bond of the $250,000 bail set in the case and was released, police said.
His next court appearance is set for July 28.
