The following items were taken from area police department reports and news releases. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt.

Norridge

Arrest

Estefania Berroteran, 24, of the 1500 block of Gunderson Avenue, Berwyn, on July 13 was charged with speeding and operating an uninsured motor vehicle in the 4400 block of North Harlem Avenue.

Burglary from motor vehicle

The glove compartment of a Volkswagen Taguan parked in the 4000 block of Oriole Avenue was ransacked July 14.

A satchel containing a MacBook laptop, a tablet and stylus was stolen July 17 from an unlocked Chevrolet Silverado parked in the 4200 block of Overhill Avenue. Estimated loss was more than $7,000.

Criminal damage

Four tires were flattened July 16 on a 2014 Ford pickup truck parked in the 5000 block of Ridgewood Avenue.

Deceptive practices

A male on July 11 used seven $100 counterfeit bills to pay for miscellaneous items at Foot Locker and Kids Foot Locker, 4184 N. Harlem Ave.

Bicycle theft

A bicycle locked to the rack at XSport Fitness, 4260 N. Harlem Ave., was stolen July 16. Estimated loss was $600.

Retail theft

Two women walked out of Kohl’s, 4220 N. Harlem Ave., on July 13 with miscellaneous activewear they’d stuffed into mesh bags. Estimated loss was $2,832.

Harwood Heights

Arrest

Kacper Milczarek, 25, of the 4200 block of North New England Avenue, Harwood Heights, on July 18 was charged with driving without ever having a license and speeding in the 4300 block of North Harlem Avenue.

Michal Ciskal, 23, of the 8000 block of Ashridge Road, Fort Worth, on July 17 was charged with driving on a suspended license, operating an uninsured vehicle, failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident and talking on a cellphone while driving following a crash in the 4700 block of North Nagle Avenue.

Iulian Calin, 42, of the 2200 block of East Lake Avenue East, Seattle, on July 16 was charged with disobeying a traffic control device and driving on a suspended license at North Harlem and Leland avenues.

Burglary

Polish currency with an estimated US value of $41.63 was stolen July 13 from the dresser in an apartment in the 4300 block of North Oak Park Avenue.
