When President Richard M. Nixon resigned in 1974, he took classified documents and tapes from the White House. Congress realized how dangerous that was and passed the Presidential Records Act in 1978 to keep that from happening. Imagine if a former president took the launch codes to our nukes or the location of our CIA operatives around the globe and decided one day to provide that information to a bad actor for billions of dollars. No president had violated that law until Donald J Trump did in 2021.

Bob from Frankfort, you sound like a true Trump Republican, treasonous, secessionist, angry at all that is not of Trump Republican in nature. If you continue down that angry vengeful path maybe you can get a cell next to Trump.

While I normally agree with David McGrath columns, I have to vehemently disagree with his latest saying President Biden should pardon former President Trump. First, Trump would never accept the two conditions of accepting responsibility for the insurrection and accepting the 2020 election results. Even if he did, there are those of us outraged by what happened to our Capitol and with the pandemic deaths due to his negligence, not to mention the documents he took from the White House. He must be held to justice or we will see this happen again in an even more violent way.

Once again a writer mixes apples and turtles. I’m not even using oranges. What in the world do the IRS have to do with seat belts? Why harass the police department for doing their job? Wearing a seat belt is the law and a darn good one! Wearing front seat belts can reduce fatalities by about 45%. More statistics are available at the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration website. Also, please let us know how you manage to determine who is guilty and who is an innocent citizen? That’s quite a remarkable ability you seem to expect.

This is in response to Greg of Lockport calling Fox News propaganda. To insinuate that Carlson, Ingram and Hannity are like Tokyo Rose is crazy. Fox News covers news stories in a responsible way that other TV channels do not. Do you see illegal migrants crossing day after day, drug bust, et cetera? By the way, I am an 83 year-old viable woman and have never seen our country in the bad shape it is now.
