The following items were taken from Winnetka community reports and releases. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt.

SUSPENDED DL

Ashley L. Castillo-Avelino, 23, of the 3600 block of Salem Walk, Glenview was charged Nov. 9 with driving with a suspended license and unlawful use of a communication device after she was stopped near the intersection of Willow Road and Forestway Drive, police said. There is a scheduled court date of Dec. 12th.

EXPIRED REGISTRATION

Han Wen Liang, 22, of the 11400 block of National Boulevard, Los Angeles was charged Nov. 9 with driving with expired registration after he was stopped on the 1000 block of Sheridan Road, police said. There is a scheduled court date of Dec. 12th.

THEFT

Various medications were reported stolen Nov. 7 from a retail store on the 900 block of Green Bay Road, police said. The stolen merchandise had an estimated value of $2,695.35.

An Amazon package in transit was reported stolen Nov. 11 from the 800 block of Willow Road, police said. The package was valued at $60.00.

An Amazon package in transit was reported stolen Nov. 11 from the 600 block of Ash Street, police said. The package was valued at $40.00.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE

The grass on a playfield on the 1200 block of Oak Street was damaged, police said. Damage was estimated at $500.00.

DECEPTIVE PRACTICES

An individual reported Nov. 7 that a previously mailed check was altered sometime between Oct. 22 and Nov. 2, police said. The financial loss exceeded $5,000.

An individual reported Nov. 7 that personal information was used to open a bank account, police said. There was no financial loss at this time.
