The Senate voted to impose a labor agreement between rail companies and their workers. This really took me by surprise. I thought it was a done deal months ago when President Joe Biden negotiated a deal. Since the deal did not address pay increases and sick time, it was once again addressed by the unions. With the new agreement, workers will receive a 24% increase in wages over five years, with more schedule flexibility and one additional paid day off. Once again, it failed to include sick leave because it was rush for President Biden to sign. Therefore the elephant is still in the room.

To Asha from Palos Park, it is interesting to note that the children, veterans and seniors you note are hungry and homeless have only been so since Joe Biden became president. The were not hungry and homeless while the previous guy was golfing and charging the U.S. government millions of dollars for the trips. Good to know.

I just paid $14 for one small spray tube of nasal spray. Before, the same cost around $5.50. Families just simply can’t afford similar high prices of necessary needs much longer. Biden’s Democrats called the Jan. 6 protest an insurrection. I just wonder if or when a real storming of the Bastille will happen if Biden doesn’t retract his restrictions which caused the outrageous prices and other problems we have to endure?

Once again, I heard on the radio Republicans want to stop Medicare at 65 and possibly make it to 67 or 70. I’m a 70-year-old man. I paid into Social Security for 30 years. There are people out there getting checks and Social Security who never paid a dime. Now, you’re going to tell me that I have to work an additional two or five more years to pay for them. I am a conservative, but I will actively campaign against any Republican that’s going to make me work harder for the irresponsibility of others.

Elon Musk has exposed what everyone except the people who watched the so-called mainstream media knew about Hunter Biden’s laptop. The Democratic Party suppressed the news about this for over two years. The Justice Department is too busy chasing down false accusations against Donald Trump to be bothered to investigate the real corruption.
