Hit and run
Zachary Rodriguez, 22, of the 7000 block of Emerson Street, Morton Grove, was arrested March 19 for leaving the scene of an accident following a hit-and-run at the intersection of Dempster Street and Central Avenue, police said. A court date is set for April 21.
Other traffic violations
Pitor Fraczek, 31, of the 3600 block of New England Avenue, Chicago, was arrested March 22 for speeding more than 35 mph over the posted speed limit and driving recklessly at the intersection of Dempster Street and Oak Park Avenue, police said. A court date is set for May 1.
Akinola Oke, 52, of the 7100 block of Ridge Avenue, Chicago, was arrested March 22 for speeding 26-34 mph over the posted speed limit and driving recklessly at the intersection of Dempster Street and Central Avenue, police said. A court date is set for May 1.
Theft
Christian Lupas 46, of the 3800 block of Wallen Avenue, Lincolnwood, was arrested March 23 for removing an item without payment from a business on the 6300 block of Oakton Street, police said. A court date is set for April 20.
Joshua Perva, 29, of the 4000 block of Troy Avenue, Chicago, was arrested March 25 for switching the price tags on an item and paying for a different item at a business on the 6300 block of Oakton Street , police said. A court date is set for April 20.
Driving under the influence
Sergey Repnoy, 38, of the 8500 block of Winnemac Street, Chicago, was arrested March 24 for driving under the influence of alcohol on the 8500 block of Austin Avenue, police said. A court date is set for May 1.
Jesus Navarette, 36, of the 1300 block of Cherokee Avenue, Round Lake Beach, was arrested March 26 for driving under the influence of alcohol and aggravated driving on a revoked license, police said. A court date is set for April 21.
Identity theft
A complainant residing on the 5800 block of Warren Street stated he called his bank after trying to use his debit card and having it declined, and was told there had been recent transfers totaling $17,500 from his account, police said. He said his identity had been taken from a copied SIM card, leading to the fraudulent activity, police said.
