The following items were taken from area police department reports and releases. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt.
Darien
Warrant arrest
Stephanie Boza, 32, of the 5100 block of Iris Court, Kissimmee, Florida, was wanted for multiple warrants. Warrants were from DuPage County for identity theft, retail theft from Kane County and stolen property from Kansas City, Missouri. Boza was stopped at 11:40 a.m. March 27 for speeding.
Traffic violations
Ricky Stewart, 25, of the 7500 block of Elmhurst Road, Des Plaines, was charged with driving while license suspended and given a warning for speeding, at 7:46 p.m. March 27.
Patrick Kelly, 40, of the 6500 block of Bentley Avenue, Willowbrook, was charged with driving while license suspended, operating uninsured motor vehicle, no valid registration, and was given warnings for failure to signal when required, loud muffler and improper display of registration, at 11:52 a.m. March 30.
Spiro Papageorge, 72, of the 7700 block of Gail Avenue, Darien, was charged with driving while license revoked and driving with expired plates, at 9:25 a.m. April 1.
Lukas Petravicius, 40, of the 6100 block of Pinewood Court, Willowbrook, was charged with driving while license revoked, speeding over limit, transportation of alcohol and two DuPage County warrants, at 12:49 a.m. April 2.
Burglary from a motor vehicle
An officer was dispatched to Zazzo’s Pizzeria, 7360 Kingery Hwy for a report of a burglary from motor vehicle, at 7:52 p.m. March 28. The complainant stated on March 28, 2023 between 6:05 p.m. to 7:05 p.m. unknown offenders removed checks from the vehicle parked in the lot. The approximate loss is unknown at this time.
Burglary
Officers were dispatched at 2:50 a.m. March 28 to Flame Smoke & Vape, 7516 Cass Avenue for a burglar alarm. Store video shows four offenders exiting a Hyundai between 2:45 a.m. to 2:50 a.m. March 28, throw a brick into the front door enter and remove cash from register. The approximate loss is $700.
DUI
Sammy Papageorge, 43, of the 7700 block of Gail Avenue, Darien, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding, improper lane usage and disobeying a traffic control signal, at 10:28 p.m. March 30.
Israel Arredondo, 22, of the 1100 block of Plainfield Road, Darien, was charged with charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, obstructing an officer, reckless driving, fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, speeding, use of unsafe tire and failure to carry license on person while operating a motor vehicle at 7:20 p.m. April 2.
Gordon Marsh, 47, of the 6500 block of Kane Avenue, Hodgkins, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, operating uninsured motor vehicle and driving too fast for conditions, at 9:52 p.m. April 2.
Retail theft
Jacques Walton, 35, of the 500 block S. 7th Avenue, Maywood, was charged with felony retail theft exceeding $300 obstructing identification, resisting or obstructing a police officer and two warrants, one failure to appear from DuPage County and the other for delivery of a controlled substance from Will County, at 7:21 p.m., April 1.
Domestic battery
Amanda Carbone, 31, of the 7500 block of Country Lane, Darien, was charged with domestic battery make physical contact and domestic battery that causes bodily harm, at 1:05 a.m. April 1.
