Less than five months after returning to the U.S. from her Russian imprisonment, Brittney Griner beamed at the 2023 Met Gala on Monday night.

Griner, who spent 10 terrifying months as a captive of the Kremlin, wore a gold suit on the gala’s red carpet. She attended the Upper East Side event with her wife, Cherelle.

“It feels good,” Griner, grinning, told a reporter, according to video published by Reuters.

The 6-foot-9 basketball player suits up for the Phoenix Mercury. She was arrested in February at a Moscow-area airport after customs officials said they spied cannabis oil in her luggage.

Griner, 32, was freed by Russia after the U.S. agreed to release Viktor Bout, a shadowy Russian arms dealer convicted in Manhattan Federal Court a decade ago.
