U.S. 12 to close for NICTD Double Track work
The Indiana Department of Transportation announces a road closure on U.S. 12 between Hobart Rd. and County Line Rd. starting Monday, August 28, which is expected to last for five days.
U.S. 12 will be closed in this area while Northern Indiana Commuter Transportation District (NICTD) sets bridge supports for the NICTD Double Track project. Motorists should seek an alternate route. The official detour for this closure will follow U.S. 20 and State Road 149.
State Road 49 to close for bridge work near Kouts
State Road 49 between C.R. E 900 S and C.R. E 1050 S in Porter County will be closed starting Monday, August 28, for two weeks, according to the Indiana Department of Transportation.
Contractor Rieth Riley Construction will be working bridge overlay project over Pleasant Township Ditch. Motorists should seek an alternate route. The official detour will follow State Road 8, U.S. 421, and State Road 10.
