
RIVERWALK ADULT DAY SERVICES PLANS BBQ FUNDRAISER
Riverwalk Adult Day Services will hold its annual Bingo, BBQ and Bluegrass fundraiser from 3 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday, April 19, at Independence Village, 1030 Aurora Ave.
The event includes dinner by Gemato’s BBQ, complementary beverages, 10 bingo games with a $100 prize per game and raffle baskets. Music will be performed by Plank Road Music Strings.
Tickets are $45 and can be bought at www.riverwalkadultdayservices.org/bingo-bbq-and-bluegrass.
Proceeds support Riverwalk Adult Day Services, a nonprofit organization with two centers. The organization serves seniors with cognitive decline and conditions such as dementia, stroke and Parkinson’s disease. It also has a center for adults ages 18 to 59 with a neurodiverse diagnosis, including autism, Down syndrome or intellectual disabilities.

NAPERVILLE PARK DISTRICT HOLDING JOB FAIR THURSDAY
The Naperville Park District will host a job fair to hire for various full-time, seasonal and year-round positions from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday, April 2, at the Fort Hill Activity Center, 20 Fort Hill Dr.
The fair offers a chance for high school and college students and others looking for employment inquire about different positions within the park district, officials said.
Representatives from Western DuPage Special Recreation Association and Official Finders will also be discussing their employment opportunities.
Summer employment opportunities are open, including positions at Centennial Beach, the Paddleboat Quarry and summer camps. Job seekers can also apply for other jobs in park maintenance, recreation, golf, custodial and customer service, the park district said.

CONSERVATION FOUNDATION TO HOLD EARTH DAY BENEFIT
The Conservation Foundation, based in Naperville, will hold its 2026 Earth Day Benefit Dinner from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday, April 23, at Bobak’s Signature Events, 6440 Double Eagle Drive, Woodridge.
The event, which is the foundation’s largest fundraiser, will feature dinner, a nature-inspired silent auction, a presentation and live entertainment by Downtown Charlie Brown.
More than 200 auction items donated by foundation members, local businesses and artists include antiques, artwork, garden supplies and experiences, the release said. Bids will also be accepted online.
