A person of interest was arrested overnight after a 28-year-old man was wounded during an argument on the Far South Side in the Morgan Park neighborhood, Chicago police said.

About 12:45 a.m., officers responded to a call of sommeone shot in the 11100 block of South Peoria Street and found a man with a gunshot wound to thr leg. He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where he was listed in fair condition, police said.

A person of interest was arrested and a weapon was recovered at the scene. Charges are pending while detectives continue to investigate.
