The 20th Century Club Foundation of Park Ridge has chosen Avenues to Independence as the beneficiary of its Annual Benefit Luncheon, being held on April 25 at the Chateau Ritz in Niles.
According to a news release, this year’s luncheon promises to be a lively, fun-filled afternoon inspired by the glamour and excitement of the 1920s. Appropriately titled “The Roaring 20s,” the event will feature high-energy jazz music, delicious food, and a festive atmosphere that transports guests back to an iconic era.
The afternoon will have entertainment and camaraderie, including raffles, promenade baskets, and other surprises, all while supporting a meaningful cause, the release said.
Proceeds from the luncheon will benefit Avenues to Independence, a nonprofit organization committed to empowering individuals with disabilities to live full, independent, and meaningful lives, the release said. Through innovative programs, advocacy, and community partnerships, Avenues to Independence provides opportunities that promote inclusion, self-sufficiency, and personal growth.
In addition to benefiting Avenues to Independence, proceeds from the event will raise scholarship funds for graduating senior high school students attending accredited high schools, helping support their continued education.
Founded in 1913, the 20th Century Club of Park Ridge has a long-standing tradition of community service and philanthropy. Its annual benefit luncheon is one of the club’s most anticipated events, bringing together members, guests, and supporters for an afternoon of celebration and charitable giving ansi educational support, the release said.
Through fundraising events, scholarships, and volunteer efforts, the club supports local organizations and initiatives that strengthen the Park Ridge community and improve the quality of life for its residents. In prior benefit events, the club has raised funds for the Park Ridge Public Library, The Center of Concern, District 207 Health Programs and numerous other local philanthropic organizations serving the community.
